VVMT365 : 2006 Audio Output

603 audio tracks
6 videos (Three from the Vukzid89 release).
13 Caretaker tracks.
Well over fifty hours of free audio.
Over six gigabytes of freely licensed music.

An epitaph of this project will be written elsewhere. What started out as a small idea around three or four years ago was finally completed and the output detailed above was created in three hundred and sixty five days and made freely available for download and online distribution with everything licensed using creative commons a license which encourages people to use what is there in a creative way. As a project it's large body of work and if burnt would need around 45 compact discs. The output itself was a mixed bag which may suprise some people.  Maybe in the future i will archive parts of this project as Zip-Files. Of course everything was created and given away for free and in this day and age to actually firstly create such a vast amount of output and secondly give it all away for nothing (when everyone charges for all their output) is a new style and one you will not often see the like of again. Funding from the project came from the small few who donated cash to aid the cause and from people buying older releases directly from me. The full project includes daily written text entries and also pictures. There is currently no plan to mark the end of this project by creating some form of physical release.

Of course another of the main motivations of the project was to encourage others to use elements of the audio to create their own new output.

Maggie Thatcher, here's hoping she dies soon.

I am of course counting down the days till Maggie dies and as mentioned now over two years ago there will be an audio release to celebrate the fact she has gone. At the moment she is 81 years old so this release will be limited to 81 copies only or 82 should she struggle on till her birthday in October and then one more copy will be released each October thereafter if she fails to croak it for additional twelve month periods. It will be pressed on vinyl and will feature fully commissioned artwork. The size of vinyl is unknown as is the final price for this release. I still have all of the emails from those out there who expressed an interest in this release the first time around, if you wish to be added to that list then please get in touch and i will let you know when there is some news. This record WILL be released somepoint this year in readyness for her death.

Finally

As for V/Vm Test the label itself will be taking a lengthy hiatus. There may be a small number of non V/Vm Test private vinyl pressings forthcoming at undisclosed points in time and you may directly be made offers about this private pressings.
