Hi,

About the Red Mecca poster i'm afraid i don't have good news.
I did buy it, but i still haven't received it and i don't know in what
condition it will arrive (if it doesn't get lost).
It was originally in a not so good condition (staple holes in all corners,
rough edges, fairly used) additionally it was sent not in a tube but in a
flat envelope =/ that will probably get quite battered in transit...

What caught my attention to the poster was the fact that it used a different
image from the red mecca covers.
I read about there being a poster in the original LP release, but i doubt
this (there are poster in the Mute reissues but those were later)
Any more info on this subject would be really nice =)

BTW there is no mention of this specific poster in volume one or two of the
"The Graphic Language of Neville Brody" (and this record was design by him).

Anyway, as for the poster itself, the only thing i can do is make a proper
scan of it and share it (the image in ebay was fairly poor).

I just wished they'd make a proper illustrated book on the cabs!!!
(fac similae of posters, covers, magazine covers, photos,...)
something along the line of this (i just made this up now and it probably
doesn't make much sense... oh, well):
1. Attic days
2. Hula Kula goes Rough Trade
3. Life at Western Works (production work for other groups included)
4. Doublevisions
5. Branson Shuffle (The Virgin Years)
6. Global Failures (Code + Groovy Laidback & nasty)
7. Life in Exile (later releases)

cheers,
carlos
