[Grief] Original Oundle vhs on eBay

Do you seriously think it was TG’s decision to censor the videos? You have to remember that they’re produced in the U.K., where pornographic material is (was?) banned or regarded in a very Victorian way.

I've wonder about the reasons for the images being censored. I find it quite bizarre, especially considering TG's take on information.

I'm referring to the Heathen Earth video, the only uncensored version is the original IRVC1 release. The Doublevision, Jettisoundz and TGV box set versions are all censored. The actual censoring is of the TV screen you can see on stage which is playing a hardcore gay porn film, obviously belonging to Sleazy. The Doublevision and Jettisoundz versions have a black bar across the screen whenever the TV is shown, as for the TGV version every time the TV screen is shown, the contrast is turned up which makes it impossible to view.

Just out of interest, in what way are the DVDs in the TGV box censored. I have both the original DVDs and the VHS tapes, but I have to admit that on a cursory viewing I've not noticed any censorship. I would have thought that the reverse would have been true that the VHS versions would have suffered at the hands of the censor. But, as I say I've not really sat down and seriously compared the two.

Also, in the spirit of completeness, does anyone know of any plans to release versions on the gigs form the re-union to the final split (either audio or video). Another box may be the order of the day?

I'm suprised there weren't many more bids on an original Oundle school VHS (IRVC 1) that was on eBay last week. I guess people must have missed it, the original Industrial Records 'Heathen Earth' and 'Oundle School' videos are really rare these days, you never see them for sale. The quality is actually better than the TGV box set and they are uncensored too.
