Don't know if this is that relevant, but it's also the name of the manifesto from Valerie Solanas (which is where Merzbow got the name). I don't think it's a band.

The only S.C.U.M. I'm familiar with is a Merzbow alias that hasn't been used since the late 80's... Hmm... We'll have to wait and see.
