That is because that official CD you speak of is not "official", it is a bootleg. No official CD version has ever been released. No one who took part in the release of the original cassette had anything to do with it, nor did anyone give any sort of permission to release this tape onto CD.

Yes, it was nice to finally get an actual cd copy of 23 Drifts to Guestling. But, unfortunately, almost EVERY TRACK IS CUT OFF AT THE END!!

It is VERY annoying, especially since most of the trax are people talking. Like the "Death Threats" track...It gets cut off right at the BEST part...and with vocal snippets, the BEST parts are usually at the end!

I only know this, because my friend (who had the original cassette) transfered it to a CDR a while back & sent me a copy. And SAD to say, that my CDR, not only sounds BETTER, but the tracks are completely 100% intact, as originally intended & NOT cut off.

I don't know WHO the hell mastered this "official" CD from the original 1983 cassette; but I'm guessing they were either smoking a lot o' crack, or just didn't give a crap! My 4 yr old nephew could have done a better job.

I've returned my "official" CD, as my CDR is the real-deal & contains all that the original cassette contains!

If you have the means, track down the original cassette; it's worth it!
