Isn't this in the FAQ? It should be if not. The proper way to handle your cards is with rubber dishwashing gloves. If you don't have any of those, then use cooking mittens or surgical gloves. You mustn't pollute the cards with your animal nature. |Can other people touch/use them, or does that ruin the energy about them..... That depends on the circumstances. If you get your lovers to touch them, then that may increase your ability to connect with them. If someone you don't like handles the cards in any way, then your will and discipline will determine the repercussions. I know some who will not let anyone else use their cards, some who won't let anyone else touch them even with asbestos gloves. I also know some who don't care who touches what. |how should the decks be stored, They should be kept in a special place, wrapped in skins of some sort. Preferrably human skin, but if that is illegal where you live, then try some pelt of an endangered species of some kind. Spotted owl feathers and emu plumage is highly sought after. The neoshamanic grocery store is stocking up on extinct animal jellies. The one thing you should never do is burn your deck, for this will release the demons which are inhabiting the cards. It's one thing to be sacrificing the deck for a particular magical or religious purpose, but to haphazardly burn them may result in an angry ectoplasmic reaction. Be kind to slugs and snails. They are my family. Lorax nagasiva@yronwode.com --------------------------- [this post not created for the benefit of the humor-impaired]
