For me, sex magick isn't contained of techniques, though certain tools (such as psychoactives) may assist the process, and some techniques (such as pranayama) may assist the cleaving to the Edge. |2) What have you achieved with sex magick? Shamanic journies into the depths of myself. |3) What techniques work the best with one person? The same ones, generally, that work best with two, though in terms of masturbatory effect I think it likely best that variation of style may yield better results. It throws off the occlusion of the habitual. |4) What techniques work the best for hetero sex? gay sex? lesbian sex? Look, the only real 'technique' I've ever heard described (here or else where) wasn't truly a 'technique' at all. It was karezza, or reservatus ecstatum (withholding orgasmic response), and specific instructions on how to do this are usually omitted, which I find fascinating. Also, I think it is fairly simplistic to equate sex magick with sexuality or to presume that sex magick must be contained within the relationship of physical intimacy. Surely this is a very intense form, but not the only option. |5) How do you define Tantra? The weaving of life's many strands into a fabric of unified consciousness. |6) What have you experienced by using Tantra? I don't 'use' Tantra. It is more like a context of my path. |7) How would you define a "Tantric lifestyle?" In specific I wouldn't, though I think there may be certain abstract qualities common to tantrics: * appreciation of both discipline and enjoyment * delving into both aspects of all polarities * investigation of the 'taboo' in order to break societal programming * exercise of the various aspects of oneself and investigation of one's weaknesses and strengths (sometimes utilizing a 'chakra' model, but not necessarily -- see Leary's or the Buddha's, for examples). |8) What sort of Tantric magick, if any, do you practice? 'Tantric magick'? Tantra is a KIND of magical path. I don't think that there is really 'a magick' within tantra itself. I utilize magick for tantric purposes and in this way it becomes 'tantric magick'. nagasiva (nagasiva@yronwode.com) -------------------------------------- -- PLEASE CC ALL PUBLIC RESPONSES TO EMAIL. http://www.portal.com/~tyagi/mystery.html | ftp://ftp.portal.com/pub/ss telnet://bill.math.uconn.edu:9393 | news:alt.magick.tyagi
