Actually, given the role of set (expectations) in the psychedelic
experience, saying stuff like this to people makes it much more likely
that they will hurt themselves. LSD is not normally a substance which
inspires self-destructive behavior, but someone indoctrinated in the
urban myth about people jumping out of windows because they think they
can fly is much more likely to find that big jump strangely tempting.
