From: nagasiva@yronwode.com (tyagi/TOKUS) Subject: Kali Yuga Snippet Date: Kali Yuga 49941009 |>Kali Yuga 49941007 |Out of curiosity, what's this mean? Is it a date-time sort of thing?? The Kali Yuga is the last of four time periods within popular Hindu cosmology. It consists of the most chaotic and entropic elements of civilization (often, in their anthropocentrism, referred to by humans as 'the devolution of the world'). I gather (I am not native to these ideas, so please understand my relative ignorance) that the Kali Yuga is shorter than the others and is approximately 432,000 years long. I admit that to date I have received no absolute locator in respect of this great period of years, though I did hear from one source that the Kali Yuga was only about 5000 years old. I asked my Abyss (shakti/SO) for her reflection and she agreed that it seemed to fit to merely add 2000 years to the current schema to come up with my own time-orientation (I've arrived at my space-orientation in the House of Kaos). Since I'm dedicated to Kali, this seems appropriate. :> Therefore the above is not only a neoHindu datestamp, but relates to popular Western calendar also: Year 4994/Month 10/ Day 07. I used to use a pseudo-startrek convention (which would make this 941007), but I'm satisfied with the move toward greater devotion to my Wife. EOF
