typical approach: suspend disbelief for the period of the work.

it is said that calling specific people is possible, yes.

at times sensitive mediums do allow spirit possession.

reconnect to present place and time, in magical work 'ground and center'.
studying a physical object intensely (not like a crystal ball, but something
more ordinary) can shove away the reverie.

decorate it with stimulating graphics and text.  make it YOURS.
