This list is for the discussion of Dead Can Dance and related side and solo projects, such as Lisa Gerrard's solo releases, Elijah's Mantle, and This Mortal Coil. Topics for discussion include, but are not limited to, reviews of DCD releases, influences (musical and non-musical) on DCD, music similar to DCD or of interest to DCD fans, etc.

Although there are other net resources (mailing lists, newsgroups, etc.) for the discussion of DCD, none are specific to DCD. This list is not meant to compete with these other groups but to complement them.

If you have time, please consider posting a message introducing yourself, so that all of us on the list can get to know each other.

Note on advertising on the list: In general, this list follows the general Hollyfeld rule on advertising. Exceptions to this are individuals selling CDs/tapes/vinyl related to the list, and related labels, bands, and music stores. Individuals selling CDs, etc., may post lists of music without asking the ListMom first. (This does not apply to selling your own music. If you are selling your own music, you fall under the "band/artist" category.) All others wishing to post related ads to the list must first send their ads to the ListMom off-list before posting to the list. (In general, if they're on-topic, they will be approved for a one-time posting or periodic postings of new materials.) A small reference to commercial products or services in a signature does not constitute an advertisement. List members who do not follow this rule may be unsubscribed or banned from the list at the discression of the moderators.
